Is the artwork framed? Most original pieces are created on 1.5" deep gallery-wrapped canvases with finished edges—no framing needed. They arrive wired and ready to hang. If a piece needs a frame, I'll note it clearly in the description.
Are the colors accurate to what I see on screen? I photograph every piece in natural light to capture color as accurately as possible, though slight variations can occur depending on monitor settings. I do not apply topcoats or varnishes to my original pieces, preserving the natural texture, tooth, and subtle sheen of the paint and canvas. Because there is no protective varnish layer, proper care is important to keep your artwork looking vibrant:
Routine Cleaning: Dust the surface gently using a soft, dry makeup brush or micro-fiber feather duster. Never use water, liquid cleaners, damp cloths, or abrasive materials, as these can smudge or damage unvarnished paint.
Placement & Light: Hang your painting away from direct, prolonged sunlight to prevent UV fading over time, and avoid high-humidity spaces like bathrooms.
Varnishing: If you prefer a varnished finish, a professional restorer or framer can apply a removable, conservator-grade varnish for you down the line.
